If you want your original character(s) added to the original category, just make a suggestion topic with

Name of Character,
and optionally you can include any info/description you want with it, (info on ownership of character will always be included though)

Note: You don't have to make a topic for each original character, put all the characters you want added at the time in the post, but don't come back and add more to the same topic, make new topic if you want more added.
