Title: Old stories
Post by: yarr on September 20, 2008, 02:14:27 AM
I'm looking for any and all good story on subject not posted on the site, be they from old nyou sites or elsewhere. As I recall lots of good stories are lost, so scour your archives!  ^-^

Heres a bit from various old now dead sources, credit given where author is known.

Oh wow. And I thought that that Tekken fic would be lost forever!

I also didn't realize that the Lyceum pics Micro drew actually had a story to it.  :kawaii:

Actaully I've had the Tekken story for a while. But since I didn't know who posted it all that time ago I couldn't possibly post it without some inkling of who to credit it to.

Wow I never knew Micro had a story about buddy dump at the outhouse  :kawaii:

Thanks for writing such a great story Micro! And thanks to you yarr, for reviving this story!

How do I open that file extension?

You can open that file up with WinRAR. Here's the address of their site:

Is my archeological endeavour a failure? Are all the old tomes lost?  :kawaii:

Well, I have an archive of all my old stories, but nothing saved beyond that. Sorry, yarr :(.

I read all those anime/game stories on the original site.  I had printed hard copies but nothing I could share so it's great to see them up here.  A lot of those are true classics, like your old stuff Yarr, so thanks a lot.  (You wouldn't by chance have any more stuff like that hidden away would you?)  ;)

I had never seen the original, "live action" fics. before, where they from the legendary "Yahoo Group" that I arrived too late to be a part of?  :'(

I know this fiction site focuses mainly on anime and game characters, (and that's a good thing because as far as I know it's the only one of it's kind it the world), but originals like Jimmy's and realistic stories can be great too.  The only thing I have trouble with is keeping track of characters names and what each one looks like when there are a lot of them together and all introduced very quickly.  That's why I find it easier to read popular anime stories, as I've said many times.

(And yes Zee, the outhouse buddy dump was my favorite too, never have enough of either one of those!)  ;)  ;D

Alright, here's my contribution. I have a fairly good sized collection of stories, so there should be something here for everyone.

It contains:

- Tools of the Trade, an Evangelion story by Omnipresent that was lost when the old fiction site went down

- An old, old Blood Rayne story by some people called "Game Junkie Team" that came from the same old Nyou site as the Tekken 2 fic

- An old Starfire story by Poowrite that was posted on Wetset a billion years ago and I haven't found anywhere since

- The Knight's Story, which was posted on the old AnonIB before it went down (Actually, I've forgotten who wrote this, but I know it's somebody on Nyou Fiction. It would be great if you could come forward and take credit)

- An old Videl story, the author of which I likewise have forgotten (sorry! please tell me who you are)

- Ariel Poops her Pants, a story I got from Ripple's Story Index, which sadly seems to have stopped working (sad face)

- A story sent into a magazine that I found reposted on Wetset a while ago, which has since vanished into the aether

- The Princess, another story from Wetset which was posted more recently but is still gone. Again, if the author happens to read this, please take credit

- The reward for solving Arthur Saxon's logic puzzle (http://www.asstr.org/~Arthur_Saxon/Five_Accidents.html). I don't like to encourage cheating, but eventually he'll stop emailing it to people who send him the solution, so we should probably try to preserve it now

While we're on the subject, ripple-story-index.web1000.com/side.html isn't working anymore and this time I'm afraid it may have bitten the dust for good. I always loved the stories by Lucy Peters on that site, but like a fool, I never thought to save them. If you don't know the author, she was a British woman who wrote several stories, both true and fictional, the most well known being the "A Favourite Fantasy" series, where a woman stays with two other women at a resort called the Home Farm where they wet and mess their knickers for a week. If anyone happens to have those saved, I would be eternally grateful.

Well, that's it for me. Here's hoping others will come forth with some long lost gems of their own.

Let's see, the classics I've saved from various sites are:

* Poowrite's Disgaea story, which is posted here (That's Spicy Hot Laxitive)

* Another Disgaea called "Five Days" (Don't know the author)

* A Futurama story where Amy poops herself that I came across on wetset a while back (A random link to an old post not on the current archive)

* The original version of "The Ingrediant" by Toasty

* The Multipath for the Dragon Ball GT portion with Pan (All the paths that were posted)

* Poowrite's "Rikku's Fear of Aeons" and "People in Spira should learn to knock"

Thanks Toasty, some of these I saw a wile ago, but most are totally new to me so I really look forward to reading them... if I could ask you one more little favor. :-[

Being a complete computer illiterate moron, I don't know what a "7z" file is or how to open it or with what.  When I try to open it with Internet Explorer, it doesn't give any error message, it just dose nothing. >:(  Has this happened to anyone else, or is my comp. just being stupid?

If you could reupload this as any kind or document, I could convert it to OpenOffice and make it a lot easier.

Orpheum, could you post some of that collection you lister too?  I'd contribute, but all the old stuff I had is already up here and I haven't been around long enough to pick up any real antiques. :'(

No problem Dr. Bones.

The file you downloaded is an archive. To extract the stories, just download WinRAR at the link solomance posted above, install it, and you should be able to use it to extract the 7z file. That will create a folder that has all the stories in it.

Sorry for the double post, but I just wanted to ask if Orpheum could upload any of those stories he mentioned. You're taunting me with their awesomeness and now I must have them!

I can take credit for both of those. The Videl story was actually just posted here as my contest entry :)

As far as archives are concerned I have every story I've ever posted anywhere except my La Pucelle story that I posted way back before nyou2 and the three stories I posted to Female Desepration as AnimePee. They're still up on the stories page there, I should really save them before they leave this earth.

I also have a copy of Orpheum's Resident Evil 4 story and a copy of the multi-path story "Princess Kara." I always intended to do something with it, just never did get around to it :P.

Yeah, can I just say that The Knight's Story is like the awesome-est thing ever? I don't even remember where I originally read it.

These postings of old stories are muchly appreciated, by the way. Some of these are new to me.

Really? Thank you! I'm flattered.

In the interest of posting old stories I have prepared a .zip containing (almost) all the stories I've ever written. I'm much to lazy to upload them all individually and besides, I'd feel bad about pushing new stories off the main page for my old crap (HA!)

Also included in the zip is the first few levels of KWEST in all their ASCII glory. For those of you who missed it the first time around it's a cheezy little game, my attempt to make an interactive panty-pooping game. IT's a bit buggy (Time doesn't reset properly at the start of each level) and it comes with a readme that should help you get it setup (just copy the KWEST folder from the folder in the zip file directly to your C drive.) Bear in mind, I don't really support it any more :P.

Anyway, I wish I had more to contribute to the "old stories" thread. Sadly, I only archived my own work :(.

You better not give up on that game.... or else.... *Deranged look*

:P Anyway, nice to see a collection of your stories. Though you should post 'em here eventually. If I had to say, just take the time to maybe revise the ones you might have felt were a bit lacking, then post them during a dry spell *pun, intended?)

I don't want to sound like a broken record here, but Orpheum, could you please upload those stories you have saved? I'm particularly interested in the Futurama one and the Disgaea one that isn't Poowrite's, because I've never seen them before, but I'm sure a lot of people would like to see that Pan multipath and Poowrite's old FFX stories as well. Couldn't you just upload them to Rapidshare, and then they could be posted by their rightful authors?

All my stories can be Rapidshared at:

http://rapidshare.com/files/154814399/Poowrite_s__Mostly__Completed_Works.zip.html

But I agree, I remember the Disgaea one (wasn't the author's name Krull?) and liked it. It'd be awesome if you could re-post it.

Is it possible for you to please put those files back up on rapidshare or any other fileshare website? I am interested in reading all of those stories after d/l'ing the ripple archive!

I may upload some old stories I've saved over the years. But not for a bit as I have to arrange some new stuff in my house.
