Hey, everyone. I've a few questions about interactive stories that someone may be able to help me with.
1. In the original version, I seem to remember there was a character limit to each path. Something like each path could only be 500 words or something like that. Any know if this limitation exists in version 2?
2. Is it possible for paths to join. In other words, is it possible for two options to lead to the same place? Something like:
"You find yourself in a large room with two glass doors, one on the left and one on the right. They both appear to lead to the dark alley. Which door do you choose?"
In this case, would it be possible for both doors to lead to the same path? That is, of course, a terrible example since in that case there would be no reason to offer a choice in the first place but the answer is important to an idea I've been tossing around in my head for a while.

As far as I know, there isn't a limit to what you can write. As for linking options, I'm not sure. Though I'm sure Duce could work something that up, but he's taking some personal time off for a little while.
yeah, there's no limit now, the only reason there was before is because the server the site was at wasn't very good with big posts.
yeah Nia and OrpheumZero is right, there's no limit any more.
btw I'm not really all that back yet, just kind of hanging out for the time being before I start back up with stuff.
and actually I had been thinking about make a advanced version,
where the author had more options and stuff to set for paths. like a for example: paths could be linked to any other path, and the reader would have variables that paths can set and change when viewed, and these variables would be able to hide paths based on the paths options.
it'd be kinda like a interactive stories game
but I really dunno if I should work on it, as it would be a lot of work. and I kinda doubt it would get use that much, by how much attention current version gets.
It's certainly a worhy idea. But yea, I guess it'd be best to put off until you know it's gonna get more support/use.
