Well, I figured I'd replace the BAD TF:A fic with a possibly GOOD TF:A fic, meaning:

-Sari's a Mary Sue: No bad comes to her (as she should be)
-She's a precocious little scamp
-this is more light-hearted, funny, and naughty, compared to dark, scary, and making you feel bad for the character it's happening to.

The pitch?

k then... now I just simply need to work a premise around it... I was thinking something like fulfilling some sort of report for her Tutorbot, on nature. Of course, Sari finds the Tutorbot annoying and insistant, so she gets permission from her father to use one of the many mini-subs (used in the Survival of the Fittest episode), along with a tracker (so she won't be "kidnapped" or "missing") to Dinobot Island... she brings PDA and stylus (instead of Pen and paper), along with mirror and camera... her report on nature? As her way of saying "fuck you" to the Tutorbot, in her own special way, her report is on the act and results of human defecation untampered by modern necessities (like a toilet). She has the PDA and stylus to type down research info, the mirror for "study", and the camera for physical proof.

Once she's done what she's done, and actually does the report (lol). The Tutorbot proclaims this as both not following the criteria, and as an excuse to harbor child pornography, to which Sari does some sort of mind-fuck with the Tutorbot (like how this IS a nature report, since it being done in a natural place and being a natural act, and how the Tutorbot, since it now has the photos, could be scrapped for having CP, itself)... to which he "freezes", leaving Sari with recess for the whole day.

Soooooo.... does this seem like a good idea? For those of you who've seen the show, is there anything I should add to make this seem less like a forced thing? And don't tell me "It's up to me", because this fic IS up to me, but to make this enjoyable, fappable, and believable are big concerns that I feel my audience might help with. To make sure that the naughty little munchkin in this fic doesn't seem OOC, and to make this s neat and with little to no holes in the plot (maybe even have Grimlock somewhere in the fic for a quick laugh, as well).

General Discussion / Re: credits system

Maybe we could use this credits system to create a more formalized way of doing trades that would prevent the kind of stuff that made yarr so frustrated. You could commission a story from an author (or a picture from an artist, although there aren't as many of those on the forum) for an agreed amount of credits, and then the author could use the credits to buy a commission either from someone else. That way, people wouldn't be arguing about whether or not they "owe" anyone anything because there would be a tangible (well, not really tangible, but at least visible) reminder that a transaction took place.

Only problem I can foresee is that some jerks might try to spam posts or make otherwise worthless or poor quality posts to earn enough credits to commission a story/picture. I don't think any of our regulars would do this, but it's possible some unscrupulous newcomer might try to cheat the system in this way.

In that case, I think the only way to counteract that would be to make the fee prohibitively high, say 300 credits, so that it's very difficult for anyone to buy a story without getting payed for writing one.

Well, that's the first thing that came to mind anyway. What does everyone else think of this system?

This has some good, and some bad potential. I mean, what is some artists or authors shirk off? Will they be "reminded" in a non-mafioso manner that the transaction need to be completed?

Yeah, like what Toasty said. I was talking about myself understanding the show, not you. You do well with it.

Ya know, I don't think I'm going to bother with the TF:A fics... infact I might have this one deleted, since it's not really that great in the first place :-[

Dark stuff isn't my thing unless it's lovecraftian.

Digimon fics, on the other hand, I MIGHT take a crack at, since I suppose I know the flow of the show a bit better.

General Discussion / Uhm, should I do more?

For those who've seen recently, I DID make a fic involving Sari Sumdac from Tansformers: Animated...

I have a slight urge to want to do more, but these probably won't be as near as "dark" as the first one I made (like I typed in the file, I only made it to one-up some troll making a shitty TF:A fic in Gurochan using Alita-1... ALITA-FREAKING-1!!! She's a robot! No excretory system!! Anyways, not many actually reviewed it, which kinda sucks). I have ideas ranging from Sari on the Dinobot's island, to just simply her using a toilet in the morning after a Shrimp Curry dinner. Technically, teenage Sari might be usable (seeing as she's techno-organic), but I don't want to jump ahead until the character returns in the series, so I can get a better feel of how she's changed, as a character...

OR.. alternatively... I was also poking around the idea of trying something with TF:A Blackarachnia (also techno-organic, from absorbing space spider DNA).

I dunno, Nyou-ers... should I try making another fic?

Waru out!

Maybe if you poke Duce hard enough (e-mail him), maybe he'll give you whatever pointers you need to know.

Hey Orpheum. Duce has e-mailed me telling me that his computer had broken down. So all he has in terms of computer access is his sister-in-law's laptop; so... yeah, he can't really access his own boards. However, he can access his e-mails.

Is it possible for you to take care of the site (contests, themes, etc) for him, until he gets back?

If you have any questions for him, or if you can't take care of the site, don't be afraid to e-mail him.

Thanks in advance
