I've been considering a native american, Chinese, viking and Egyptian scenario for my entry. I find it hard to decide  :'(

Though, the possibility to include a fitting native american name might just be what tips the balance.

A tall, voluptous young squaw with thus upscaled Gal Sone appetite and bowels gets introduced to white man cooking (pork and beans) somehow, with tremendous results in some farm outhouse or with her rump jutting out over a fallen tree in the forest.

Her name? "Buffalo butt", "Scares-bears (with-farts)" or something similarly clever  8)

My high school was having several additions constructed for most of the time I went there.  To show it off, they handed out maps.  Not just typical classroom maps, but copies of blueprints showing things like mechanical rooms and every sink and toilet in the entire building.  (You probably couldn't do that now because of terrorism/school shootings etc. :-X)  I think the two main girls rooms had eight or ten stalls each but I don't have it anymore.  I don't know if it's a building code or not, but it seems that for every two urinals in the mens room, add another toilet in the corresponding ladies.  (Do I think about this stuff too much? ???)

The hard thing with big scenes is keeping track of the dialog and fitting all the good action in at the same time.  Who's just started going, who's almost finished, who's wiping, etc.?   Not to turn you off of the idea, just preparing you for what you may be getting into. :-[

Roman squat toilets hu?  I did hear that many archaeologists think the facilities in the Coliseum where just two rooms with drain trenches along the walls... ;D

Pharaohs aren't supposed to poop?  That sounds like something I should have known about.  Didn't they find a toilet box in King Tut's tomb?  Maybe it was for the servants spirits. ;)

I remember once seeing the end of a movie where some explorers had convinced a group of natives that they where gods who needed all their gold.  Just as they where about to get away, one of the men slipped and cut himself, the natives saw him bleed (gods don't) and tried to kill them all! :-X  I'm not sure, but is there a theory that Hatshepsut was murdered? ;)

So you're thinking of an old west type theme too Yarr?  I was still leaning toward the cowgirl story so is that a conflict?  A fun touch though. ;D

OrpheumZero

Sounds like the Road to El Dorado. The two guys, both con men find the fabled city of gold and are treated as gods, then the shaman, hoping they would be cruel and bright divine wrath, sees one of them bleed and tries to destroy them with a giant stone jaguar.

What's to come:
~ One Piece adventure ("In planning")
~ Inuyasha story
~ Story with girl having to sit between boy's legs on toilet

DrBones

No idea what the movie was called, I really only saw the last few minuets.  If that scene sounds familiar, then you're probably right.  Now that I know, I might look it up.  Thanks. ;D

OrpheumZero

Well it was a pretty good movie, with nice music and art. And it had the spirit of the classic "Road" movies with Bing Cosby and Bob Hope.

Plus the love interest chick in the movie, Chula or whatever her name was, had damned nice hips! ;D

So is Duce going to set a deadline and stuff?  It looks like the theme is unanimous.

I guess I won  :005:

Now, what time to go to *fiddles with time machine wearing a labcoat and noteboard*

Am I right that the pre-Greco-Roman period is snagged by Jimmy and the wild west by bones? No worries, I'm leaning more towards viking/something else by the looks of it.

A computer issue I've explained in another thread killed the file with my story.  I'm bowing out of this contest rather than retyping the whole thing from memory.  Greece, Troy, Crete, Mycenae etc. are all fair game now.
