Yea, that's a fucking shame. Can't understand why it keeps happening every year or two. Hopefully though it won't die this time. But what complaints is the owner talking about? There's nothing illegal there, last time I checked the whole loli thing is still open to debate, and none of us have been doing anything stupid like posting CP. 'Course, I guess it could be issues from other inb4 boards as well.

Damn it, I really wish we could get something like 4chan or Gurochan, the way they're set up is a lot easier. Granted, I understand there's more diffulty with those kind of boards, but it'd certainly would make things more tolerable.

It had to be other boards with loli/shota content. The loli sections from Nyou3 were taken out almost a week before the owner closed it all down, but the other sections likely still had loli pics strewn about. With that in mind, Nyou3 may have played a part in it anyway.

The issue with pedophilia became a big deal again. I believe drawn and computer art should be exceptions because they aren't real. If that can't be the case, then they should go after South Park with all the "shota" they love to show on it. They even have scenes where they actually show male characters defecate and show it come out, including with the young boys. Why is that okay and not what you can find on websites like Nyou3? Is it because when it is boys, it isn't porn, but is with girls by default? That isn't right to me, but I digress.

It might not have been lolicon in general if someone was spamming CP.  A lot of chans have been getting hit by CP raids these last few weeks.  A couple sites even resorted to locking their chans down for a little. 

I sent in a suggestion to ib4f about appointing global admins for the entire site.  A batch of people who could eliminate content without waiting on each board's admin to do so, and/or could lock and close boards for review.  I also suggested that there be a board approval system put into place so troublesome boards could be weeded out. 

I really don't think it was nyou3's fault at all.  Considering there was a couple boards dedicated to lolicon/ shotacan and everybody knows in advance that they go onto each board at their own risk.


I really hope it comes back soon, or at least starts up again.  With eight marble 2X slowing down with the updates, and no one really willing to participate on zareste's grid, as well as /d/ being ... /d/, we don't have much going for us now.

This reminds me, I was working on a Melina coloring for one of the few original artists we had at the imageboard (Double King, I'm not sure if he goes by anything else). I had actually posted it the very night before the site went down, so it might have been up there for half a day at most. I figured then I'd just let it sit until the site recovers, but considering that might not happen, I'm wondering if anyone wants it? I mean, the fiction site is where this story originated anyway, so I figured the original artist would also be a member from over here.

I'm not too thrilled about uploading nyou material on photoshack though, so I might work only on a direct e-mail basis if there's no other image-posting alternatives.

On another note, hi y'all. I've been a lurker since the yahoo groups days, so it's nice to finally be able to contribute something.
