Hey, that was a great story!  Just out of curiosity, how is W.I.T.C.H. in terms of a TV show (in other words, would you recommend it?), because it sounds interesting, although it seems like some of it is similar to Captain Planet (the whole earth, fire, air, water, heart thing comes to mind).  As for the story itself, it would appear that you have a very good grasp of the characters, although I myself would not know.  I also liked the idea of them collecting the urine into a ball and then launching it at Cedric (although I can't shake the feeling that I've seen something similar to that... for some reason the word "bending" comes to mind).  Still even if it was similar, there were things about this that I found unique and refreshing.  Good job.  I can't wait to see more!!!

Author's Response:

It's actually an ok show, think Winx, except it doesn't suck eggs. The show revolves around the 5 girls becoming 'Guardians of the Veil' and accuiring their powers after being given the Heart of Kandrakar (which belongs to the world that makes the center of existence). The first season they fight against Phobos who is an evil prince who took over his world of Meridian (only the princess is allowed to rule) while his little sister was still an infant.

As for their powers, Will at first has none, except for creating small attacks from the Heart, but eventually gains Quintessence (or Electricity). Irma controls water, and can make it out of thin air (from the beginning in show, but not until later in the comics). Taranee has power over fire, Cornelia can move earth and anything with earthen qualities (like algie from a  pool) and Hay Lin controls air (even though some point her Chinese origins would not count air as an element).

All in all it's a good show, not too girly despite the fact it centers on female protaganists and still good with the action. If you're curious about the show, you can probably find some videos on Youtube.

I really liked this fic, it plays out just like a real episode does, at least IMO, and that's great ^_^

Fics with actual stories are great.

There needs to be more W.I.T.C.H. fics! ^_^

Author's Response:

Good to know you liked it. And I'm glad that it did fit in well enough like an episode (like our Code Lyoko stories :D).

Well I'm sure you'll probably make your own story for the series too sometime. Though I do have plans to follow this one up, since I'm sure you all know what I had Hay Lin hinting towards at the end ;)

Great job! I know enough about the show to recogonize some of the female characters and Blunt but that's about it. I really don't feel like it affected the story much, the plot and action were awesome.

Your potty scenes were well done and meshed well with what was happening in the story. I thought you did really well with the descriptions and

"Oh boy, either I just ate a water balloon or I really need to pee." made me chuckle.

In all, great job.

*Head slowly swelling to titanic proportions from egomania* Thank you, it's nice to see people liking the story so well. I do think I did pretty well in having it fit into the season without stepping on the toes of the continuity. And I did what I could to match the respective characteristics of the girls, Irma's wisecracks as you can plainly see :D

Thanks for the review and I await what you have in store as well. ;)

Ooh, slumber party, holding contest, and power over pee. This is like 3 contest themes combined! How could I not like it? ^_^ I'm not qualified to judge the quality of this story, since I've never so much as heard of the show it's based on. But I will post my observations and reactions.

I just love the basic idea of some magical girls' holding contest getting interrupted, and them fighting evil with full bladders. I wish I knew this show better so I could picture these girls. Not knowing the show is also probably why I didn't like the scenes without the girls very much. I didn't really know what was going on, and reading through those sections to get to the girls and their pee was like a chore. I do like how this has a real plot to it beyond toilet stuff. There's more at stake than humiliation and garment-soaking, which makes it exciting.

The descriptions aren't outstandingly great, but are more than adequate for this story. My favorite line is, "If her legs squeezed any tighter they might fuse together."

Author's Response:

I apprieciate the review, and understand that a lack of knowledge to the show can make things seem hard to understand. I had the same trouble with Poowrite's Avatar stories since I didn't start watching the show until about a year ago or roughly so.

The show appears on Jetix, the Toonami rip-off for Toon Disney. But the show only comes on at 3 in the morning (at least in my time zone). But I'm sure you could probably find the episodes on Youtube, granted if you have a fast enough connection to watch 3 nine minute parts.

Personally I think the narrative was ok, but not my best. I do think I did well with the descriptions to Heatherfield and Meridian, but that's just me :P

Thanks once more for the review.
