They were DDoS'ed? Wow, I thought a website like that was obscure enough to stay off the radar.  Guess not, but it seems to work now and hopefully it wont happen again.

Is there a reason I haven't been able to access http://www.anonib.com/_nyou2 for a few days, did it just die?  Is it working for anyone else or does anyone know what happened?

Lets see, anime I loved in 2007...Obviously Death Note has been mentioned, I also really enjoyed The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya.  If you were a fan of Azumanga Diaoh you will probably enjoy Haruhi, it has some nonsensical, quirky jokes to it (as well as a wonderful Pheonix Wright reference) but the series is actually quite clever.  I thought Code Geass had a great first season, it puts an interesting slant on the mecha genre and has a real dark side.  The second season of Genshiken came out this past year, which if you haven't watched the first I highly recommend it.  Genshiken is sort of a comedy/slice of life anime about anime fans, its wonderful to just watch and revel in being a geek.  Another series in that genre I enjoyed was Nodame Cantibelle, follows the characters lives as students in a musical academy and I thought it had good and believable character development and it gave me a new appreciation for classical music.  Getting back to more action oriented shows, Claymore was excellent and at times very brutal.  If you liked Gundam Wing I suggest checking out the new Gundam series Gundam 00, it takes the political intrigue typical of Gundam to the next level (As well as having an assortment of bad ass gundams...).  One last thing I really enjoyed but I'm not sure I'd recommend it to everyone is Zombie Loan.  To me Zombie Loan had all the elements of a quintessential B rated horror flick but with the charm and style of an anime.  If you're a fan of cheesy old horror flicks I strongly suggest you give Zombie Loan a try.  Thats all I can think of for now, I'm sure there is more that I'm forgetting but those are my favorites of 2007.

General Discussion / Re: Tips for first time writers?

Well you seem to have your fic well planned out, this is an important first step.  Beyond that the best advice I can offer you is to not rush when writing your story, I've made this mistake before and it really shows.  Also be sure to use proper grammar and spelling, use software with spell checking capabilities.  If you don't have the Microsoft office suite download open office.  Finally be descriptive when you finally "get to it" in your story but don't over use the same words especially if there are multiple characters participating.  Don't be afraid to use an online thesaurus, I use them all the time and I find it adds a bit more depth and gives the reader a better experience.  Thats pretty much all I have to offer, just make sure you try and stay true to source material but don't be afraid to have fun.

Sorry its been so long since I've posted but I got around to reading the remakes and I must say, well done sir.  I certainly don't mind if someone wants to remake or continue any of the stories I've done and feel free to post them here.
